An East Texas country boy, Davis is committed to keeping Jesus Christ first in his life. He believes that "we are the only Bible some people will ever read, so he walks his talk, and faithfully carries the Gospel wherever he goes." Whether it be one on one sharing the gospel one on one or speaking to hundreds that gathered to see the Jesus film in Haiti, Davis enjoys sharing Christ.

"In ‘The Great Commission,’ Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15)," according to Davis. "And my heart is to do that through music."

An enthusiastic performer who has sold out his life and talent to the Lord, Davis is a licensed Southern Baptist Minister and member of the Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelists. His ministry reaches out to all who will listen and his ability to cross over cultural, denominational, and generational barriers is unique. Davis has spent years ministering, and learning how to minister to people from many different walks of life including churches, nursing homes, prisons, youth camps, and homes for troubled teenagers. Each area of ministry is unique and requires an understanding of the needs of those we are entrusted to stand before.

Since going into fulltime ministry, God has used Davis’ ministry to reach many hundreds for the kingdom of God. It is evident that God is using this ministry to reach the lost and to challenge Christians to live more committed lives.

Ricky and his wife Wendy have two children, Jonathon and Jacob. They make their home in Nogales Prairie and they are members at Carpenter’s Way Church in Lufkin.
